The urban furnishings and advertising circuit chosen by Marconi Express are a design and technology masterpiece and meet the expectations of one of the Europe’s most ambitious transportation projects. “From the center of Bologna to the airport in 7 minutes,” the monorail of the capital of Emilia-Romagna is a zero-emission mode of transportation capable of producing up to a third of the energy required for the full mobility of 2 million passengers autonomously – through solar panels.

In this highly technological context, IKON Segnali and Imecon have designed and manufactured the urban furnishing with a futuristic design using high-quality materials, by means of 100% sustainable high-visibility devices, with touch-screen technology accompanied by a widespread and precise static wayfinding path.

The screens installed integrate an innovative system to display airport and central station departure and arrival times in real-time, as well as information about the city, events, and advertising.

True data hubs processed and constantly updated to provide infotainment content related to the city of Bologna and its main strategic transport nodes. Highly performing, they are also equipped with maintenance and remote management software capable of autonomously controlling and managing the status of the installed devices and reproduced content, by using the same technology adopted in the famous London Underground.
