Floor signs and floor graphics

Perhaps the first sign in the world, indicating the way was a sign on the ground, maybe a broken branch or a scratch in the sand. Floor communication is one of the essential complements to a visual project inside a shop, a shopping centre, any business open to the public, as well as in industrial environments, production facilities, and warehouses, or in public environments such as hospitals, museums, and airports.

Although they are rarely considered in an effective communication plan, floor graphics are one of the fastest growing applications in digital printing.

Within a signage project, most supports are positioned at eye level or suspended; however, there are circumstances where signage placed on the floor can offer an alternative solution to a significant orientation problem. For example, if walls are unavailable, if there are no adjacent ceilings, from which the signage can be hanged, and if there is no space for the freestanding signage, floor graphics become the key solution.. Generally, floor signage is used to highlight pathways through a well-defined colour project.
