Camplus Firenze

Camplus Firenze is a highly technological residence and is the result of the complete retrofit of a mid-20th-century building owned by the Railway Station Group and formerly used as a Ferrotel; it is now a great example of energy efficiency. Thanks to the renewable energy use and the automation of systems, energy wastage is minimized. The aim of the wayfinding project was to enhance the technological aspect of the architectural design. The custom-made implementation has been executed on plexiglass supports with laser cutting specifically applied to the wall.

The simplicity and minimalism of the graphic design, along with the chromatic contrasts of lime green infographics on dark backgrounds, make the signage project extremely modern and functional. The Michelucci font has been used in the visual signage project to recreate the lettering present in the Santa Maria Novella Station in Florence. This station, designed in 1932 by a group of architects known as the Gruppo Toscano, included among its members Giovanni Michelucci and Italo Gamberini. The building was erected between 1932 and 1934. Camplus is a brand of Fondazione C.E.U.R. Centro Europeo Università e Ricerca.
